How To Make A Successful Referral

We want to acknowledge and thank you for your business, and we hope you are happy with your payment processing services through Elavon. As you know, the best compliment a business can receive is a referral. We understand asking for a referral is a delicate matter, so we have shared some frequently asked questions about our referral program to make this process as easy as possible.

What is the Elavon referral program?

The Elavon referral program is an exciting opportunity for you to earn Costco Shop Cards every time you successfully refer Elavon payment processing services to your fellow business owners. You will receive a $100 Costco Shop Card for each referral you submit once the referral is approved for a merchant account and starts processing payments through Elavon. The business you referred, once approved and processing, will also receive a $100 Costco Shop Card. There is no limit to the number of Costco Shop Cards you can earn.

What happens after I submit a referral contact form?

After the contact information has been verified, an Elavon representative will reach out to your referral within two business days noting they are being contacted as part of a referral program.

What counts as a successful referral?

To qualify for the $100 Costco Shop Card, the referred client will need to open and activate a new account with Elavon and process at least $25 within six months of the referral.

Is there a limit to the number of businesses I can refer?

There is no limit to the number of businesses you can refer, but each referred merchant must be a different owner with a different Federal Tax ID number. Not eligible for multi-Merchant ID accounts. For example: several merchants in one location and/or using a multi-Merchant ID terminal cannot refer each other (i.e. hair salon with several stylists).

How will I receive my Costco Shop Card once I’ve made a successful referral?

Please allow 30-60 days following referral opening and processing to receive the Costco Shop Card. You will be notified by email when a successful referral has been completed.

  1. To qualify for the promotion, you must be a current Costco Canada and Elavon Canada merchant services client and refer new merchant services clients to Elavon Canada. The referred account must be opened and activated within 90 days from the date of the referral. The referring client will receive a $100 statement credit when the new client opens and activates a merchant account with Elavon and authorizes and settles $50 in payment transactions. A one-time $100 credit will be applied to the referring client’s Elavon statement within 30-60 days after the referral has opened and activated the account. The Merchant Account of the client making the referral must also be in an open status at the time of the incentive credit. The Merchant Account of the referred client must be activated and actively processing payment transactions for a minimum of one week and be in an open status at the time of the award of the incentive credit. Referred client cannot be an existing Costco Canada or Elavon Canada merchant services client. Cannot be combined with another offer. New merchant accounts require acceptance of merchant terms and conditions and Elavon underwriting approval. Not eligible for multi-Merchant ID accounts. All products and services are subject to approval, including credit approval by Elavon.
